Who we are
We are a small specialist company with a dedicated team of staff specialising in the made to order manufacture of high integrity relays, solenoids, switches and coils. Our products are extensively used for major infrastructure projects and for safety related applications in the power, nuclear, defence and rail transport industries, where quality and reliability are an essential requirement. Our experience and expertise in made to order manufacture enables us to provide our customers with cost effective solutions for projects small and large, including single order and low volume manufacture.
Our aim
Supporting our customers and helping them meet the expectations of their clients is as important to us as the products we manufacture. We aim to provide our customers with the support they require from first enquiry and maintain that support throughout the lifecycle of their projects. A track record and goal, that we believe has contributed to the loyalty of our customer base, and for new and existing customer selecting us as their supplier of choice for scheduled refurbishment, upgrade and new build projects.
Our history
At C&S Controls we can trace our proud history back to the early 1920’s: to the relay manufacturer Keyswitch Varley Ltd that acquired the well established Oliver Pell Ltd in 1979, and to relay manufacturer Clifford & Snell Ltd. The two companies merged together to form the controls division of Signature Industries Ltd in 1989 with bases in S.E. London. In 2010 C&S Controls Ltd was established during the management buy-out of that division from Signature Industries, where our company commenced trading in its own right, moving with our staff to our new home in Bexleyheath in Kent; continuing a proud tradition of over 8 decades as relay and solenoid manufacturers into the future.
